Inner Sensing is a foundational practice of Alchemical Healing that allows us to unlock innate capacities to heal, grow, and know ourselves more deeply. In this class, you will learn a step-by-step somatic process for engaging more skillfully with your own or your clients’ psychological and emotional issues. It can help not only with acute and chronic pain, depression and anxiety but also with decision making, clear communication, and liberation from self-destructive behavior patterns. This class integrates aspects of 5 Element Chinese Medicine, Taoist alchemy, and Western depth and somatic psychology as well as Lorie’s original work with the Five Spirits. Earn 10 CEUs with the National Certification Commission for Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine (NCCAOM) and/or with the California Acupuncture Board.
Open to the spirit level practice of Chinese Medicine and receive a direct transmission of Lorie Dechar’s wisdom and teaching. Each of the six lectures will provide a point of entry for your own deepening knowledge of the Five Elements, the Five Seasons, and the spirit points of Chinese Medicine. Each will catalyze your capacity to transform an acupuncture point from an anatomical location on the body to a sacred portal to the soul. You will activate the deepest psychological and spiritual potential of these points through an understanding of the etymology and poetry of the point names as well as flower essences, essential oils, qigong, and meditation practices that can be alchemically woven into your work with needles and herbs. In addition, you will earn 5 CEUs in Core Competency (AOM-OM) and 5 CEUs in Professional Enhancement (PE-CW) with the National Certification Commission for Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine (NCCAOM) and/or 10 CEUs with the California Acupuncture Board.

After more than three decades of clinical practice and teaching, Lorie is convinced that once we have met the requirements of legal, cultural, and professional standards, most boundary questions are more nuanced than absolute.
